Keeping water systems leak free in the fort worth area
July 23, 2022by adminUncategorized
Water leaks can cause long-term damage not only to your water system but also to the structural integrity of your home. What starts out as a small leak will often go undetected by the average homeowner and eventually builds up over time. These leaks could either be catastrophic, those that ruin your home, or costly leaks, those that drive up your water bill.
It is advisable to seek the help of professionals when dealing with leaks. If you suspect a leak in your water system, then Service Squad Plumbing has the experts for the job.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF LEAKS IN THE WATER SYSTEM
Water leaks have harmful effects on your home. Catastrophic water leaks may ruin the structural integrity of your home and cause irreparable damage. Costly leaks, on the other hand, will drive your water bill up even if your household’s water consumption is at the usual levels.
HOW TO DETECT A LEAK IN YOUR WATER SYSTEM
There are several ways to detect a leak in your water system. The most common signs are the following:
- You will notice some unexpected water puddles in your home appearing out of nowhere.
- Toilets have trouble flushing or refuse to flush at all.
- The water pressure in the faucets is weaker than usual.
- Your water bill is skyrocketing.
If you notice any of these signs, call us now at 682-232-0607 to schedule a water line leak detection.
THIS WEEK’S FEATURED PROJECT
Water pipelines are often buried deep beneath the ground. In our recent project, we had to excavate around 3 feet deep in the homeowner’s front yard to get to the damaged pipeline.
After temporarily cutting off the household’s main water line, our staff went to work. The broken 3-inch PVC fitting was easily replaced and the rest of the lines were checked for any leaks or damage. So far, our staff found none. All pipes received one final check before the hole was then filled.
